Keep Homeowners Insurance Premium Low by Being Safe

With households from coast to coast doing everything under the sun to cut costs, any kind of information on how to lower home insurance premiums is usually welcomed with open arms. According to an article recently published on InsuranceAgents.com, comparing multiple homeowners insurance quotes from a wide array of home insurance agents will cut your home insurance premium.

The article also states, “To save money on your home insurance premium, homeowners should reduce the risks presented to their home and prevent any destruction. By taking easy steps, homeowners could save a significant amount of money annually on their home insurance premium.”

The best way to cut home insurance premium costs is to properly insulate your home from damage that could be caused by fire. Installing smoke detectors throughout the house, keeping a fire extinguisher handy, not smoking, and knowing fire safety rules are just a few of the ways to keep your insurance provider at ease thus lowering your homeowners insurance quotes.

Another important step to take is protecting yourself from break-ins. Advanced security systems, deadbolt locks on all doors leading outside, and motion-sensitive lights are just a few of the ways to make sure you’re not just another break-in statistic. If you take these measures in protecting your home against burglary you could be saving yourself up to and including 5% on your premium.

Silverdoor Portfolio Hits Almost 35,000 Apartments Available Worldwide

So far 2009 has proved to be a great year for SilverDoor, with the addition of even more new serviced apartments to its website.

Since Silverdoor changed its name in 2006, the Chiswick based company has seen a big expansion of its database of serviced apartments, allowing it to offer properties in over 170 locations globally. Now with the addition of a wide collection of new properties ranging from serviced apartments in Aberdeen through to serviced apartments in Prague, the number of apartments which are available has risen past the 34,000 mark to almost 35,000.

Possibly the jewel in the crown when it comes to the new additions, is the inclusion of several new Prague serviced apartments, including The Riverview Apartments and the Pachtuv Palace Apartments. Both sets of apartments are located in the centre of Prague, with The Riverview Apartments providing ideal for accommodation for budget-conscious travellers, and as its name suggests great views overlooking the Vitava River. On the other hand, The Pachtuv Palace Apartments offer luxury serviced accommodation in what was formally the Pachtuv Palace, a cultural and architectural landmark that is built around a stunning eighteenth century courtyard.

“The standard of serviced apartments in Prague is very high. Many are particularly spacious, with large windows and are architecturally interesting. We are pleased to increase the number of serviced apartments in Prague we offer as the number of business-related visits continues to rise there”, said Chris Gee, Sales Director at SilverDoor.

With the quality of apartments continuing to rise and SilverDoor now representing almost thirty five thousand apartments worldwide, it looks like SilverDoor is going from strength to strength.

The Heat Wave Hitting The UK This Summer Increased The Demand For Serviced Apartments With Some Form Of Outdoor Space

SilverDoor has revealed that, with temperatures soaring in London and the South East this summer, there has been an increased demand f r o m customers for serviced apartments with some form of outdoor space, be it a balcony, a terrace or a communal garden.

“In Central London where the temperature has been known to soar as high as 33 Celsius, the advantage of outside space is very important,” said Marnie Delaney-Parker, Head of PR and Marketing at SilverDoor. “No one wants to be inside when the British weather is as wonderful as it has been recently and a terrace or a balcony is perfect and makes a serviced apartment seem a much better option than a hotel room with no outside space.”

Key areas for Silverdoor which have seen increased attention are the towns of Newbury and Croydon. Serviced apartments in Newbury have always been a popular choice and the Library Apartments building features a communal roof garden as well as a comfortable lounge area with a dining table and chairs for entertaining or working at, along with high specification AV equipment and television with Sky satellite channels. The Maresfield Apartment, which is a serviced apartment in Croydon, has also received a great deal of increased interest. Located within a residential area only ten minutes walk f r o m East Croydon mainline station, the apartment features one double bedroom, a separate bathroom and an open plan kitchen/lounge area that leads onto a patio and communal lawns.

While the recent heat wave, which has seen night-time temperatures remaining above 18 Celsius in some areas leading the Met Office to raise its heat wave alert, has been bad news for many people across the country as they try to sleep, it has provided a welcome boon for Silverdoor.

Bulgaria : On Course For Golfing Greatness

Considered to be one of the greatest emerging markets for worldwide property investors, Bulgaria is already a hotspot for skiing and sunbathing. Now, thanks to the massive pulling power of top quality golf courses, Bulgaria is on track to become a golfing phenomenon too. With global golf tourism worth over £10 billion, Bulgaria is bound to become a huge success – with a range of pursuits both on and off the course…

1. Big hitters, big names!

Bulgaria is fast becoming first choice for many UK holidaymakers taking summer or skiing holidays, and now it looks set to become a mini-paradise for golfers too, as developers invest heavily in building a number of prestigious signature golf courses in the country.

Soon, Bulgaria will be home to one of Europe’s top golf courses, in the form of Thracian Cliffs Golf and Spa Resort, which boasts an 18-hole Gary Player Signature golf course.

The course forms the core of the luxury mixed-use development and is located on 164-hectares of wild, scenic Black Sea coast terrain, spanning 4.5 kilometres of coastline and bestowing a truly exhilarating golfing experience with stunning sea views.

Being the first on site, Mr. Player had the privilege of situating the fairways along the edge of the land while the real estate had to take the back row overlooking the greens and the sea.

The Golf Clubhouse will offer extravagant golfer facilities, including restaurants, a Long Bar with fireplaces and terraces overlooking the 18th Green and the sea, a gym and indoor and outdoor swimming pools with stunning views.

Alongside Mr. Gary Player, several other big names are behind the boom in golf in Bulgaria – Ian Woosnam has designed three golf courses; Bankso golf course, the Ian Woosnam golf course and the Pirin Pine course and legend Jack Nicklaus is behind the Ibar Golf Club & Spa – his first project in southeast Europe.

2. The legendary nineteeth hole

Bulgaria’s all important Nineteeth Hole is buzzing – the capital Sofia boasts a bustling nightlife scene with numerous bars, clubs, live venues and “mehani” – traditional Bulgarian taverns. The restaurant scene in Sofia is also emerging as a culinary force within Eastern Europe.

You can enjoy a relaxing night out too – a pint of beer will only set you back around 50 pence!

3. A fair-weather destination – all year round!

Bulgaria boasts more than 2,500 hours of sunshine each year, with more than 300 during July and August alone. During the summer months, temperatures range from a balmy 23 to 30 degrees Celsius and you won’t have to edge slowly into the sea – the water will be warm and inviting.

The availability of reasonably priced direct flights to Bulgaria has made it easy for forward-thinking travellers to make the most of the country. Low-cost airlines fly 365 days a year to Sofia, Varna and Bourgas from many other European locations.

4. Royal and Ancient?

The game of golf may date back to the 12th Century, but you won’t be able to pass that off as the only bit of ‘history’ you enjoy in Bulgaria – not when there’s so much else on offer.

For thirteen centuries, the land of Orpheus and Spartacus has sparked Thracian treasures and burial tombs, magnificent frescos and ancient applied arts.

Along the coast lie the Aladzha rock monastery, the historic architecture of Nessebar and old Thracian Tombs. Bulgaria also boasts the most ancient copper mines in Europe, which date back to the 5th millennium BC and architecture from the late Bronze Age.

5. Feeling below par?

Pulled a muscle on the golf course or just feeling a little green? Soothe those aches away at one of the many thermal pools and spas dotted around the country, boasting mineral-rich waters with relaxation and healing benefits. The Chedi Spa at Thracian Cliffs would be the best place to recover your inner harmony.

The Chedi Hotel will comprise 60 suites and will have all of the facilities, amenities and services you would expect from a luxury boutique resort.

This Chedi hotel will manage The Chedi Suites, The Chedi Club Suites, The Chedi Residences and the extravagant Chedi Villas, each on its own secluded 2500 m² plot.

Once completed, Thracian Cliffs Golf and Spa Resort will be set apart from other resorts in Europe due to its architecture and interior design which will reflect contemporary Asian style.
